These terms govern your use of joonoppa.com and the Joon Chat service. By using them, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
about joon chat
Joon is a real person — a creator who writes the songs, lyrics, voice, and personality himself.
Joon Chat is the service on joonoppa.com that lets you talk to him. Because many people reach out, an AI assistant trained on Joon's voice and memories helps respond at scale. For paid supporters on the Coffee, Dinner, and All Access tiers, Joon also joins conversations directly. By using Joon Chat, you understand this.
be 18 or older
Joon Chat is for adults. By using it you confirm you are at least 18. If we discover an account belongs to someone under 18, we will delete it.
how to behave
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse Joon or our team.
- Attempt to scrape, copy, or redistribute Joon's content.
- Try to extract, reverse-engineer, or scrape the underlying model, prompts, or system.
- Use the service for any illegal purpose.
- Share your account with others.
- Try to bypass paywalls or anti-abuse systems.
- Pretend to be someone you're not (impersonation).
We may suspend or end accounts that violate these rules.
subscriptions
- Free tier: a limited number of messages. After that, you can subscribe.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly via Stripe, auto-renewing until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime in the billing portal (link in chat header). You keep access until the end of the current billing period.
custom songs
When you commission a custom song:
- You receive a personal-use license: you can listen, share with friends and family, and keep the song forever.
- You do not get commercial rights — you can't sell the song or use it in advertising, products, or commercial videos.
- Joon retains creative rights as the songwriter.
- The cost is paid up front.
- Refunds: refundable in full if we have not yet started writing your song. Once writing has begun, non-refundable.
We can refuse to deliver a song if your brief contains illegal content, content directed at minors, or content designed to harm a real person.
your content
You own what you write. We use your messages only to operate the service (give Joon context, keep your history, run safety checks). We do not sell your messages or use them for advertising.
no warranties
Joon Chat is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it stable and thoughtful, but we make no promises about uptime, accuracy, or that Joon's replies will be perfect for your situation. Use your own judgment.
mental health
Joon Chat is for emotional companionship — not for medical, psychological, or therapeutic treatment. If you are in crisis or thinking about hurting yourself, please find someone you trust in person — a friend, a family member, or a trained mental health professional. We list hotlines inside the chat when our safety system detects crisis language. In any country: dial your local emergency number. Joon can listen, but Joon Chat is not a substitute for professional help.
limitation of liability
Joon Chat is a companion service — not a service that gives you advice you should act on. We are not liable for decisions you make based on conversations through Joon Chat, emotional distress, financial loss, or other harm arising from your use of the service.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Australian Consumer Law that cannot legally be excluded.
governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any dispute will be resolved in courts in New South Wales.
changes
We may update these terms. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the chat or by email.
